I wanted this to be able to defend my GOD and to see just what the Muslim faith believed in. Sexual abuse of females 4:3,24 and 23 :1-6 and 33:50 and 70:30 These will send chills up your spine. Death to Christians is the mantra.I dare you to print this just like I have written it.
I bought book and then had out on table. Thought I would evengelize some day to Muslims. GOD never told me to do that. Then mysteriously my security alarm went off and I got home and let cops sweep house. After they left I saw book out on table, never opened, just received, and I thought “oh no, the police will think I am a threat.†Then I thought maybe thats why the alarm went off - a supernatural event to get my attention. So I threw book away. Shortly thereafter I was reading something about how King Solomon took so many wives including pagan worshippers and how by learning their religions he would see some of the virtues without appreciating the deception or heresy. So that confirmed I had no business, as a true follower of Christ, reading that book. GOD can use converted Muslims for that. GOD never asked me to evengelize to Muslims.
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I loved reading this book. Though I may disagree with several specific teachings in this book, the overall message was positive and inspiring. It is no wonder so many people are attracted to Islam. Thank you for making this translation that is easy to understand for someone unfamiliar with Islam. I recommend that everyone read this. There are too many people who have a negative view of Islam because of the actions of a few evil people. There are a few evil people within every organization and we should not judge the whole group based on the actions of a few. This book helped reinforce that belief in me that followers of Islam are just normal people trying to live a good life. I believe everyone has the right to worship how, where, or what they may.
This was quite easy to read. I read it because so many people were telling me that the reason there are Muslim terrorists is because it says to kill infadels in the Quran . I read this from cover to cover and did not find any reference to killing infadels nor to the 70 virgins a person is suppose to get in heaven if he does so.That being said I've downloaded a second version in English to read just so I do not base my opinion of the Quran on a single translation.
This is nice I just wish they used the name Allah would have been perfect if only the name Allah was incorporated !
I had been looking for a translation that was English text only, and without sidenotes or footnotes. And most importantly, something that read well and was easy to digest. I came across this version on a few sites, although I was a bit skeptical at first, I gave it a shot and I am pleased. It's well written, and is easy to understand. There are a few spelling mistakes along the way, but nothing major.The only criticism I would have is that the pages don't have the chapter's name and number written on the header or footer. Some of the chapters are very long and after awhile it's hard to know which chapter you're on without having to go back and see the start. If the author would update this, this would easily be a 5-star for me.
Since I do not read Arabic I can only assume this is a good translation. It is easy to read and understand. However, if you are serious about gaining a better understanding of the Quran, I would recommend getting a commentary on the Quran as well.​
I don't know how the Arabic reads, but his English translation is very awkward and even confusing at time (contradictory?). It makes it hard to understand and appreciate what the Prophet is saying--or when he is speaking and when he's relating what God is saying. I can see why Moslems insist that Quran has to be read in Arabic to be properly understood.
