This has got to be the most worthless atlas (of any size) I’ve ever bought. Why on earth would anyone bother putting this together?

This is fine, but I had intended to buy Concise atlas, not Compact. Oh well. My own fault. I use it with my globe. I keep hearing about places and have no idea where they are, so this is helpful. Do you know where Malaysia is? I do now.

I have a deep love for Mr. Meltzer's "Ordinary People" series and this book is no exception. It is sweet and touching with a wonderful message, to be creative and kind, to work hard and help others. I would highly recommend this and any other book in this series.

Love, love, love Jim Henson and this book. I don't have kids, so I can't speak to how good it is for a particular age group, but it brought tears to my eyes. Sesame Street and The Muppet Show are the first TV shows I ever remember watching and my parents got HBO just so we could watch Fraggle Rock when it came out. I miss Jim Henson. He passed way too soon and I will treasure this little biography.

I love this book. Such a sweet story with adorable illustrations. Jim Henson was truly a special person and the book highlights that, without being too "simple" and I like that, because Henson himself said never to talk down to children/they can understand more than we know. It's a beautiful story and I'm glad I can share it with my children. I love the whole series, but Jim Henson holds a special place in my sentimental heart.

Ordinary People Change the World Series is the best. You can't go wrong. I love that Brad Meltzer's story telling is very captivating and the illustration by Christopher Eliopoulos is so cute. My 5 year old loves it. We read these books every night. Each book teaches that they were just ordinary people who had different struggles in life but they persevere by being courageous and by not giving up.

Been purchasing the whole series for a few months now. Super easy readings for kids, even for the 20-min trip between house and school. Interesting lives, and you can later discuss the story with the kids. I have found that most of them (stories) stick to their minds, even recalling full names and events a few weeks/months later.

This book is unique because in telling the story the young readers can easily identify Sesame Street characters and I think it is really cool that you can say see, "Elmo had to be created and there are people in this world who are known for being creative!" I like that this series takes a look at multiple sectors to produce a wide variety in this series.

Seriously! How fun? I bought it as a gift and the recipient has not stopped commenting on how much they love it. The illustration is wonderful. The narration is great. Good overall.

Wanted to share my love of Jim Henson with my day care children, but story is a little bit too long. Great for me to add to my Kermit collection.

Although this book focuses on real estate investing, it's actually a useful primer on the types of business entities available to ALL entrepreneurs in the United States.Through the author's thorough (but concise and easily understandable) discussion about how each structure relates to the endeavor of real estate investing, one can begin to grasp how these options would relate to any other type of business you might have in mind, as well. He covers everything from detailed instructions about how to file for each particular type of business entity to what kinds of tax and insurance liability is connected to each regardless of industry. Then, in each chapter, he delivers on the title promise of laying out the considerations specific to real estate investing through each business form.I appreciate all of the links he provides, many of which are for the tax documents he references (e.g. rental income is passive income to be reported on Schedule E, not as earned income or capital gains).I feel much more informed about business creation in general and those who are genuinely interested in finding out about their own "Best Business Entity for Real Estate Investment" should be able to make that determination with some confidence after reading this book.

Being a small business owner myself, I certainly gained a lot of knowledge about business entities, taxes, insurance, and real estate investment.

Michael Lantrip's book Your Best Business Entity is a great read for entrepreneurs of any type, and not just real estate investors (despite the title).Yes, the book is geared towards those who are in the land game, but financially adventurous self-starters of any type would seriously benefit from an in-depth examination of the questions he poses in the title.I first became aware of the S-corp tactic for reducing the burden of self-employment tax from reading Rich Dad Poor Dad, but the options get a little more complex when you're trying to maximize your profits and build up some protection from losses.Don't eschew this book if you're an investor of a different type, because any self-employed entrepreneur or solopreneur (or even just those who hold income-producing assets) should study and understand this book.

This book is great! It's really clearly written and laid out, making complex business concepts easy to understand. It is thorough in detailing every single aspect of how best to set up and manage your real estate investing business. I can definitely see this being used as a reference again and again for a business owner and manager. It's sometimes the simple things that are so helpful! Again, not that the concepts are necessarily simple, but the author manages to articulate and display them in a thorough, non-intimidating style.

Upon reading the title, many might think it to be a daunting read. Business entities and real estate investing doesn’t sound simple or particularly thrilling. Yet, the author, Michael Lantrip, uses a conversational voice throughout and takes great pains to present the information in as accessible a way as possible—which is a great feat, certainly, considering how dense the material can be.Being a reader with the most cursory of beginners knowledge on the subject, I found that the layout and the easy-to-understand terms really helped me get a grip on the subject. Lantrip, who clearly has thorough knowledge on the matter, has done a fantastic job at breaking the subject down and presenting it in an easy-to-follow manor. Lantrip also provides many opportunities to learn more information along the way, via examples and links to outside sources, etc.One thing I would have liked to have seen was a glossary of terms. While he tried to keep everything at an easy-to-understand level of reading, much of this information was brand new to me. A reference guide of terms would have made things a little bit easier.

This book breaks down the different entities in a simple discussion format. Highly recommend!

This is one of the finest books that I have read in my entire life. I read this book when I was in my late teens and at that time the entire "Cosmic Trilogy" of C.S. Lewis had a great impact on me and my spiritual life. Just recently, about forty years later, I felt a strong urge to re-read the book. This second reading was even more moving than the first time I read the book. I intend to continue reading the other two books "Perelandra" and "That Hidden Strength". C.S. Lewis had the ability to write about the fabulous and unbelievable, in other words in this trilogy about voyages to other planets and encounters with the planet's inhabitants, just like J.R.R. Tolkien had the ability to write about fairies, hobbits, elves, orcs, and such! Both men were blessed with the incredible gift of being able to write about fantastical and imaginary characters and to bring them to live in their books, and in doing so, conveying from the heart of the author to the heart of the reader the most lovely spiritual revelation. Often more can be taught through fiction than the most scholarly and academic non-fiction books. I believe this is because God is love and light, and so we need men and women who can open our hearts to the love and our minds to the light, to teach us about true reality. “Like when you sit in front of a fire in winter — you are just there in front of the fire. You don't have to be smart or anything. The fire warms you.”― Desmond Tutu

This is my favorite of the space trilogy, because Lewis uses his considerable talents to reimagine a familiar story. It's experimental and combines the mythic, the theological, the speculative, and science fiction, with some fairy tale as well, and everyday humor and political commentary. We've got a thriller, too, and artistic contemplation of the Beautiful and Pure. So much going on! I'd call this the artist's book of the three, with the first the everyday citizen's work and the third the scientist/philosopher/prophet's work. Lewis sets the ground work in Out of the Silent Planet (Space Trilogy), flies into realms of imagination with PERELANDRA, and brings it all heavily (and heavenly) home in That Hideous Strength (Space Trilogy, Book 3). You might find one title appeals to you particularly, but allow the others to stretch your imagination and speculation. The variety here is what a book series OUGHT to have, not just reiterations of the same story over and again. The three novels combine to give a story as complex as the universe we inhabit.

I rate this book 5-stars in context as the second book of the trilogy. I wrote a 5-star Goodreads review of C. S. Lewis' entire space trilogy when I completed the 3rd book "That Hideous Strength." Here is that Goodreads review: WHICH FOLLOWS: I just finished reading all three of CS Lewis' Space Trilogy back-to-back (published in 1938, 1943, and 1945) over the past few weeks. First caution, don't start with the 3rd book in the trilogy. The trilogy is a masterpiece, but jumping into the 3rd book will seriously shortchange what you will understand if you read all three in order. Second caution, don't start with the 2nd book in the trilogy. The series geometrically builds the cast, plot, and stakes book-by-book. A shortcut only shortchanges you. That said, this magnificent trilogy builds a fictional setting of interlocking stories that culminate, in the third, by illustrating that hideous strength which Lewis later describes in the tiny prose book: The Abolition of Man (1947). My interest in reading the trilogy after reading The Abolition of Man was piqued by the first of the seven (highest-quality HD) video lecture series on C. S. Lewis, all of which are presented free and streaming: just google "Hillsdale College C. S. Lewis lecture one" and enjoy this incredibly generous series. For the purpose of this book review, and for your greatest enjoyment, don't go past video lecture one and its Q&A session, but go from there to read The Abolition of Man (one-hour read), then the space trilogy in order. After you're done, return to the free lecture series 2 through 7. In this order you'll maximize enjoyment of this banquet, without any spoilers.

Most people have read and enjoyed the Narnia stories from C. S. Lewis, but the Space Trilogy is the one that I keep coming back to. The stories are more adult, and still filled with his impassioned Christianity. In part one, Out of the Silent Planet, we meet Dr. Ransom, the protagonist for the series, who is kidnapped and brought to the planet Mars. There we find that each of the planets hosts an Eldil or Angel responsible for that planet. Our planet, the silent one, no longer converses with the others because our angel is the bent one.Part two, Perelandra, re tells the Adam and Eve story, but it is part three that keeps me coming back. Part three, That Hideous Strength, is simply the best book that I have read that nobody seems to have heard of.I can heartily recommend this book or this series to anyone who likes science fiction. I'm not particularly Christian, but I can appreciate that the author is.

Unable to put it down, which is a wonderful thing. I'm traveling Malacandra with Ransom, what an adventure and described in such vivid detail. I absolutely love the Narnia series (read it a few times), and was very much surprised when I learned about this series a week ago. No spoilers here, but if you like C.S. Lewis' other works, you'll definitely enjoy this.I'll update once I finish the series. I only wish the book I purchased was three separate books, rather it is one BIG book containing all three of the stories.Kinda challenging lugging it around on the train. The only time I can put the book down is when my train reaches my stop, far too quickly!
